Ed

Ed joined our silicone team in 2015 as a Silicone Technician and has since became a trainer for new colleagues and a Clinical Lead for multiple partners.

Being hands on and not liking to sit in front of a computer, Ed has always been practically minded which led him to study Modelmaking at Bournemouth University of the Arts. After this, he went onto to work at a film studio creating props for major films such as Skyfall.

Since joining the Silicone by Dorset Orthopaedic team, Ed has naturally progressed. He enjoys the training aspect of the role and letting the technicians explore how they craft the cosmeses, whilst coaching them with his expertise. He also loves a challenge and enjoys the fact that every job is completely bespoke.

Outside of work, Ed is kept busy with a young family and enjoys building Lego with his children. He also competitively plays Airsoft with his friends and enjoys gaming.
